A weed is any plant that is growing where it is not wanted, “a plant out of place”. For this we would use an herbicide.
What is an herbicide?
“An herbicide is a chemical which stops plant growth or destroys plants or vegetation.” Herbicides can be split into two groups, selective and non-selective. Selective would be to kill one specific type of plant and non-selective would be to kill everything.
What Is a Plant Growth Regulator?
“A PGR is an organic compound, natural or synthetic, that when present or applied in small amounts results in a change in plant growth and development.” Changes include better colour, increased turf density, fewer clippings, reduced seed heads, enhanced establishment, improved recuperative potential, deeper roots, better stress tolerance, etc.
